Build a strong foundation for life

Gaining the ability to express oneself more clearly often leads to better self-esteem and more independence and joy in life

With speech-communication therapy from one of our Speech-Language Pathologists, your child can learn to:

  • Better communicate their needs and wants
  • Express their thoughts and feelings
  • Speak so others can understand them
  • Be better prepared for school
  • Improve their vocal quality

Our process starts with an assessment

Our speech-language pathologists (SLPs) will conduct a thorough assessment of your child’s abilities to determine how to best help them reach their goals. Our recommendations may include an individual treatment plan with goals and/or a referral to other specialists to give your child the exact help they need.

Frequently Asked Questions about Speech Therapy

Research shows early intervention is best in order to obtain the best possible outcomes for your child. If you haven’t started yet, it’s not too late!

Both speech and language follow a developmental sequence, but typical development varies from child to child. If you are unsure if your child could benefit from speech-language services, our speech-language pathologists would be happy to provide a free screening. It is often helpful to visit with parents to get a better idea of the concerns and share more information about options, development, and strategies to use at home.

Children who receive speech-language and/or occupational therapy in school may benefit from supplemental outpatient services to increase the frequency, consistency, and range of services. For example, some parents prefer the school to focus on certain goals while outpatient addresses other goals.

To find out if your child would benefit from outpatient services, please contact us for a free screening. We can then determine, with your input, if your child is making sufficient progress at school or if additional support is warranted to help them reach their full potential.

A Helpful Online Resource for Concerned Parents

A chart of typical speech-language milestones is available on ASHA’s website. You’re also welcome to set up a free screening at Full Circle.
